When Li You's teacher phoned me, I was nose deep in a textbook inside the self-study room. The teacher then informed me that Li You had gotten into a fight with at another kid at her school, and also that the matter was quite serious. At that moment, my heart sunk; then I scrambled to my feet, slamming the book in my hand onto the desk accidentally. How could those skinny little arms and legs of Li You even fight properly? Since she'd grown bigger, I can't even bear to tap one of her fingers! I made such a mistake just once—you know, applying a little punishment now to prevent having to dole out a lot in the future—smacking her little hand. After the hits were given, she just screwed up her mouth and stared at me, turned around, then went back to her room in silence. After which she ended up ignoring me for a whole month! It scared me so much that I didn't dare use force to fix a problem after that. So if something did come up, like her being picky about her food, I'd usually persuade her patiently; saying how important it is for her to eat a balanced diet, and that eating her vegetables will make her grow tall as well as becoming a beautiful and smart little girl. Thankfully, even though my little Li You normally asserts her independence, she would nevertheless heed my words, listening to some of it at least... The loud bang of my book hitting the table frightened the students who were sleeping in the study, giving them quite a start—making them fear Professor Yan had arrived, as they each tore out a book one after the other trembling and scared shitless, painstakingly trying to pretend they had been reading seriously all along. All the while as I, the main culprit, had already long fled without a trace.

Mr. Yi strode with large steps, immediately taking Junjun out from his mother's hands, holding him under his armpit then said: "We're going home!"

Having arrived at the kindergarten, I immediately went to Li You's class just to see her standing alone, face all wooden as she stood in a corner; unable to make out if she was pleased or pissed. But knowing her, as I do, I can already sense her impatience and see only indifference exuding from her eyes. Every time Li You was expressionless like this, all I can think about is how much she resembles her mother; whether it be the angles of her face, the shape of her brows, the straightness of her nose, or the curvature of her chin.

The "Iron Tower's" frown inverted, "Who pushed him?" his gaze swept towards me, with Li You hidden behind my back, then to the kindergarten's doctor, and the assistant kindergarten head who both took a step back one after the other, waving their hands before proceeding to point at me; their intention clear as day. Hey... hey! So just because the other guy looks all menacing they're just gonna push me under the bus without hesitation!

However, her smile, on the other hand, made me feel: where was any of it like her mother's huh? It was entirely modelled and carved from my own!

...wait who? Li You... injured someone?

Li You's expression was more indifferent and unconcerned than my own as she concisely stated the facts: "He said I didn't have a mother, so I just ignored him. I just wanted to push him away because I didn't want to fight—he's faking it."

It's a scam, he's faking it.

Mr. Yi strode with large steps, immediately taking Junjun out from his mother's hands, holding him under his armpit then said: "We're going home!"

A few minutes later, except for the little chubster's groans, it was silent. No one in the hospital room said a word, it was a little bit awkward but soon a man as tall as an iron tower walked in, shouting: "Who did it? Who hit my son?!"

Her teacher was twenty-four years old, had their long hair tied behind their head, wore the sea-blue kindergarten's uniform and usually gave a warm smile to anyone entering or leaving; but today, their expression was quite gloomy, and seeing it made me really scared. I was possible that it was all due to the dignity and prestige which comes from being a teacher for such a long time, but... another possibility is that the matter was already really serious and had no way of being any worse.

Was she practising some sort of peerless martial art skills behind my back? No... that's too ridiculous, how could she even hide something like that from her dad! When we go back home, I'm gonna set her straight! I looked at the kid she hit again!I can't even see eyes on his lil swollen face!

Maybe I personally think trying to make Li You take the initiative in finding and talking to her teacher laughable. Teacher Zhang then smiled helplessly and said: "I don't know if you've noticed, but Li You has been very lonely. It's not just me she does not talk to, she also doesn't interact with the other children. She can't go on like this."

"Mommy, hurry, save me!" The little chubster used all his strength to open his eyes wide and call out to his mother.

A childish look emerged on Li You's face, the look having a somewhat babyish grin of dissatisfaction. Drawing the corners of her mouth into a line, saying not one word, she allowed me to talk on and on about the east, west, north and south, as she silently stood her ground. She was not pleased—I could feel it.

N/A

Anyway, they seemed to have all been waiting for me for a good while, because after I was spotted, I was told in a voice filled with emotion: "Li You injured one of her classmates and the child was taken to the Maternity and Paediatric Hospital by the kindergarten's doctor and assistant head of the kindergarten. I hope you can go there with me to give the parents an explanation."

"..."

...wait who? Li You... injured someone?

"Okay, alright. My apologies."

Once again, my heart sunk at those words. With those skinny arms and legs of hers, my Li You had actually knocked someone else onto the ground—and it was serious enough to send them to the hospital? How fragile could that other kid's limbs even be?!

That Mr. Yi looked at me, and then looked Li You whose head poked out from behind me—his eyebrows lifting evermore, but this time, it was directed towards the little chub lying on the hospital bed. The little plump one, who was originally groaning, upon seeing his dad enter, at once, threw himself into his mother's bosom—quailing.

iana: No bottoms were harmed in this novel (other than the MC's).

I strode forward nervously, looking at the little chubby boy lying on the hospital bed who was groaning. "Is this Junjun? Oh, look at you... your face is all swollen. Uncle, when he goes home, will definitely spank Li You's bottom until it blooms to vent your anger, okay? Does your face still hurt? Did you rub medicine on it?" After that I worriedly, and shamefully, asked the doctors and the patient's family at the side: "Doctor, how is he? Is it serious?"

This was really freaking serious!

I stepped forward, putting Li You behind me as Teacher Zhang explained to the man from beside me: "Mr. Yi, it was not a fight, he was just pushed by another child."

Junjun's mother glared at him: "What are you doing shouting like this? Look how scared the kid is! Just you dare try to beat him even once!"

It's a scam, he's faking it.

So I could only say apologetically: "Yes, absolutely. Can we go there now?"

However, her smile, on the other hand, made me feel: where was any of it like her mother's huh? It was entirely modelled and carved from my own!

I took the school bag from the teacher then took Li You's hand. She looked up at me, and I gave her a placating one in return before leading her down the stairs behind Teacher Zhang. The teacher walked ahead of us quite quickly so I quietly asked Li You: "What happened?"

I nodded. Contemplating her words, then said: "Teacher's words ae quite true. When I return home, I will definitely teach her well that she mustn't strike other kids, and if she does have a problem with anyone, that she must tell you."

"They started it." Her expression stating with crystal clarity: it was him who provoked me first. I was only fighting back.

So I could only say apologetically: "Yes, absolutely. Can we go there now?"

I was left speechless. Having no idea what I should say. Secretly, I was mad at myself for picking all those social media blogs to read to her; it is so hard educating children nowadays. So next time, I'll definitely give her the news to read—and witty social commentary pieces! I'll have her look at those too. That's how children are taught, right? I know she's precocious, and that her ability to understand things as well as her memory are quite good. Plus, if she wasn't birthed by me, even I would suspect I had adopted her. Furthermore, I don't want to admit this, but her brains were certainly inherited from her mother; after all, her mother was the most outstanding person I had ever met in my entire life!

Back to the matter at hand, I, to protect my dignity as a father, had to feign a serious tone to say: "Explain it clearly." adding: "Yes, he was wrong. But you also beat him up. If the other person is much weaker you should just let him be! We do not bully those who are smaller than us; there is no honourable victory in that!"

"You, give him to me and let him go! It has already been paid for, can't we go back after that?"

On the way, the teacher told me more about Li You's fight. "After rewatching the surveillance tape, it seems that the other kid said something first then Li You attacked him. I asked Li You what he said to her but Li You didn't tell me," Her teacher tactfully stated. "She's a bit gruff, that little one, so I hope you can talk to her about it properly. Furthermore, even if the other person says something Li You still shouldn't attack them so I also hope you can teach her more about that at home as well as instructing her talk to Teacher first if something happens, that way, Teacher can help resolve it."

After I saw the kid that was struck, I realised why it made Li You sneer after I had said one must not bully the small and there was no honourable victory in doing so.

Mr. Yi strode with large steps, immediately taking Junjun out from his mother's hands, holding him under his armpit then said: "We're going home!"

Mr. Yi bellowed: "You are really skilled, aren't you kid? You even got me to come to come down to the hospital, so tell me, how many times has it been now? Last time it was a stomach ache so your mother called me to the kindergarten, and when we returned home, you were all healed. The next time you said your feet hurt but when Grandpa looked at it there was nothing wrong. So, what happened now, huh? Do you really want to say to me that this little girl hit you hard enough to put you in the hospital?! Haven't you learned anything from lying to me all the time! Watch me beat you until your mother can't recognize you!"

The three members of the Yi family strode off in a flurry. Leaving us remaining five standing and staring at one another. In the end, I paid for the check up and then everyone went their own way.

"Okay, alright. My apologies."

Junjun's mother laughed amicably from the other side of his sickbed, not doing anything to make it difficult for me as she pointed a carrot-like finger towards JunJun's stomach and told me plainly: "It's not his face, he was hit there. Although nothing can be seen from the outside, we don't know if there was any internal damage and the doctor will come to check in a while, so let's all wait for the medical report, okay."

I caressed Li You's head, holding her hand tightly when I was done, not uttering a word. Clearly, I, the father, had always gone down the people-friendly path, yet, the daughter had a free and lone-wolf style. Sometimes I couldn't deal with it—correction—not sometimes, I constantly can't handle it, even though I did not want to admit it most of the time.

That kid's frame looked like a souped-up version of a shotput ball—he was round all over—looking all heavy and not easy to lift; his beady little eyes filled with mischief. I looked at Li You, then looked at that kid again. That guy could hold back three of my Li You's! Li You... how much strength does she have to push over this fat little boy, huh?

After waiting for the doctor, Li You said to me: "He's faking. I didn't hit him at all, I just pushed him."

Although nothing can be seen from the outside, we don't know if there was any internal damage and the doctor will come to check in a while, so let's all wait for the medical report, okay."

On our way back home, I did my best to try and look serious. First I released a melancholic sigh to win my daughter's sympathy—to make her feel her dad doesn't have it easy. Secretly peeking to see if she had a reaction, but evidently, Li You was not moved... alright then. After all, she found out I sneakily played this game last night so it's understandable she wasn't touched by my act. Thus, after doing all that work in the early stages for nothing, I just acted like it didn't matter and straight up asked her as if we were just chatting: "Why'd you two have a falling out, want to tell your Papa about it?"

"Okay, alright. My apologies."

Once again, my heart sunk at those words. With those skinny arms and legs of hers, my Li You had actually knocked someone else onto the ground—and it was serious enough to send them to the hospital? How fragile could that other kid's limbs even be?!

After waiting for the doctor, Li You said to me: "He's faking. I didn't hit him at all, I just pushed him."

I smiled faintly and said to her: "What use is there in you saying all this now? You let someone get the upper hand on you... it's so rare for you to act foolish... Hahaha." I'm sorry, but usually I'm the one on the receiving end of verbal attacks, so seeing my daughter right now acknowledging her defeat—I couldn't help myself from teasing her mercilessly.

I took the school bag from the teacher then took Li You's hand. She looked up at me, and I gave her a placating one in return before leading her down the stairs behind Teacher Zhang. The teacher walked ahead of us quite quickly so I quietly asked Li You: "What happened?"

Li You shot me a glare, expressing her displeasure at my 'rejoice in the calamity of others'. Seeing her expression, it looks to also be upset that the other side was given an opportunity to act weak.

It's a scam, he's faking it.

"Okay, alright. My apologies."

This was really freaking serious!

Junjun's mother glared at him: "What are you doing shouting like this? Look how scared the kid is! Just you dare try to beat him even once!"

Mr. Yi strode with large steps, immediately taking Junjun out from his mother's hands, holding him under his armpit then said: "We're going home!"

The kindergarten's doctor called out from behind: "Aren't you going to have him checked-out? I already paid for it!"

A few minutes later, except for the little chubster's groans, it was silent. No one in the hospital room said a word, it was a little bit awkward but soon a man as tall as an iron tower walked in, shouting: "Who did it? Who hit my son?!"

After waiting for the doctor, Li You said to me: "He's faking. I didn't hit him at all, I just pushed him."

iana: No bottoms were harmed in this novel (other than the MC's).

Mr. Yi, with his kid under his arm, threw out the sentence: "Not doing it, whoever loves to go do it, can just go do it!"

Li You's expression was more indifferent and unconcerned than my own as she concisely stated the facts: "He said I didn't have a mother, so I just ignored him. I just wanted to push him away because I didn't want to fight—he's faking it."

"Mommy, hurry, save me!" The little chubster used all his strength to open his eyes wide and call out to his mother.

Li You shot me a glare, expressing her displeasure at my 'rejoice in the calamity of others'. Seeing her expression, it looks to also be upset that the other side was given an opportunity to act weak.

"You, give him to me and let him go! It has already been paid for, can't we go back after that?"

The kindergarten's doctor called out from behind: "Aren't you going to have him checked-out? I already paid for it!"

"Mommy, hurry, save me!" The little chubster used all his strength to open his eyes wide and call out to his mother.

The three members of the Yi family strode off in a flurry. Leaving us remaining five standing and staring at one another. In the end, I paid for the check up and then everyone went their own way.

On our way back home, I did my best to try and look serious. First I released a melancholic sigh to win my daughter's sympathy—to make her feel her dad doesn't have it easy. Secretly peeking to see if she had a reaction, but evidently, Li You was not moved... alright then. After all, she found out I sneakily played this game last night so it's understandable she wasn't touched by my act. Thus, after doing all that work in the early stages for nothing, I just acted like it didn't matter and straight up asked her as if we were just chatting: "Why'd you two have a falling out, want to tell your Papa about it?"

Li You's expression was more indifferent and unconcerned than my own as she concisely stated the facts: "He said I didn't have a mother, so I just ignored him. I just wanted to push him away because I didn't want to fight—he's faking it."

This was really freaking serious!

"..."

Mr. Yi strode with large steps, immediately taking Junjun out from his mother's hands, holding him under his armpit then said: "We're going home!"

I nodded. Contemplating her words, then said: "Teacher's words ae quite true. When I return home, I will definitely teach her well that she mustn't strike other kids, and if she does have a problem with anyone, that she must tell you."

Junjun's mother glared at him: "What are you doing shouting like this? Look how scared the kid is! Just you dare try to beat him even once!"
